Poinsettia Season

Poinsettia season is here shortly.  We have a big florist in the area that dyes and adds some glitter to some of the white natural poinsettias.  Some are blue and some are even tie die rainbow effects.  I don't know how this is done because as unnatural as it sounds the blossoms are pretty in a funky, cheerful sort of way. My poinsettia is not a normal color but it's fun to experiment once in awhile.
I used Distress Mini Ink Pads smooshed onto a flat palette to water color the bloom.  I used the wet on wet technique and let the piece dry naturally.
