Falling In Love

It's my daughter's wedding anniversary tomorrow.  She isn't into flowers and glitzy stuff so I made a nature type of card.  These Color Layering Fall Trees from Hero Arts were perfectly easy using Distress Inks to stamp with.  I don't know if I should have added those tiny leaves to the front but they were too cute to resist.

A Bushel of Wishes

I've been waiting for apple season to make a card with this sweet Crafty Secrets digi image.  "Apple Girl" is part of a collection of vintage farm images.  I also used the Avery Elle Scalloped Frames for the first time.  These don't cut out a frame but instead make a pattern in the card stock for a frame of pretty texture.

Fall Leaf Silhouette

I needed a quick card today for a masculine birthday.  I recently received a Papertrey Ink order which included this leaf silhouette die set.  I also had just made a little stack of Brusho backgrounds using some Fall colors.  These combined to make a simple and easy card. I like the modern look of the leaves using an antique gold cardstock and the popping color blends of the Brushos.

Stamps:   Hero Arts- Stamp & Cut "Happy"

Ink/Color:   Brusho Water Color Crystals,  Archival Monarch Orange

Poinsettia Wishes

This is another early Christmas card.  I used the Tim Holtz layering stencil "Poinsettia" to create the background.  I water-colored Distress Inks through the stencil with a small flat brush.  I didn't over use the water so there was no leaking under the stencil. Once the flowers and leaves were dry I used the bullet tip of matching Distress Ink markers to add details. I then added another layer of water colored Distress Ink to shading.

I wanted a lot of texture to add interest to the background.  I spattered with acrylic paints and randomly dotted with an Irresistible Pico Embellisher.  I added acrylic glitter sprinkle dots, pearls and tiny sparkly stars.
